Jordflix started as a fun project between me and my friends. The name came from “Nasjord,” a nickname they used to call me, combined with “flix” from Netflix. What began as a joke eventually became one of the first projects I seriously worked on while learning web development.
The original Jordflix was built with React and Vite. As I learned more, I kept coming back to it, rebuilding and redesigning it. I later moved it to Next.js, and this current version is now its third major rebrand.
What makes Jordflix special to me is that it was never just a portfolio project. My friends and I actually used it. We would hop on Microsoft Teams, stream the site, and watch horror movies or iconic films together like Django Unchained.
This latest version keeps that original identity while improving the parts I struggled with before: mobile responsiveness, movie and series browsing, search, filters, pagination, season and episode navigation, TMDB integration, playback support, and SEO.
Jordflix is probably the clearest example of how much my web development skills have changed over time. It started as something we made for fun, but rebuilding it years later gave me the chance to turn one of my earliest projects into something much more complete.

This Portfolio: Cybersecurity, Next.js & CMS
Originally inspired by a Google Cybersecurity Certificate portfolio activity, this project grew into a custom Next.js portfolio and CMS for documenting my networking, cybersecurity, and IT journey — including the projects, mistakes, troubleshooting, and lessons behind the finished work.
